It’s the first day back to school today which in turn means it’s also the first day back to work for most. I’m not one of the lucky ones to have been off as long as the summers break, although I did spend 2 weeks in the Greek islands. Is it me or does always seem to rain the first day of school? Oh well, I feel for the little buggers who packed a lunch but didn’t pack an umbrella!
Usually the beginning of the week and especially today we see an influx of Mls listings but no such luck yet, although I wrote this article in the early afternoon. As of this moment only one new listing in Toronto C01 district which combines Trinity Bellwoods, Little Italy, Little Portugal and the Bay St corridor to name a few. It’s very odd that there is such little activity. This list does not include the Toronto condo marketplace; I’m only referring to freehold homes in the downtown core.
If this continues than who ever lives in these neighbourhoods that I mentioned should really consider listing their home ASAP as demand is at its peak! Yes if you someone who is considering selling now is the time!
How does this all translate for those buyers who actively seeking to own a piece of the pie in central Toronto? Well, get ready to be in a multiple offer and also be prepared to pay more than the true value. This is the current reality of our housing market, painful but true.
Here’s a tip for any Toronto Realtors reading this post, DON’T OVERPRICE THE HOME! The offers will come and when they do come, they will come in droves!
