Breaking News- Bank Of Canada Key Interest Rate Unchanged

The Bank of Canada has left its key interest rate untouched at one per cent Tuesday and warned of a slowing economy, knocking the Canadian dollar by almost 2 cents.

The central bank said it now expects the economy to take a bit longer to return to full capacity than it had earlier thought.

"This is not just a data-watching central bank that is keeping its powder dry in order to evaluate developments over coming months — this is a central bank that has totally revised its outlook and market guidance," Derek Holt, an economist at Scotiabank, said in a note.

"Will the BOC be on hold till next year? It boils down to inflation and a weaker U.S. projected recovery.

In their surprisingly gloomy assessment, the Bank of Canada's policy-makers said global and domestic influences are holding down economic expectations.

How will this affect the local Toronto Real Estate Market and some home buyers train of thought?

Selling a home,where to begin!

Selling Your Home, Where to Begin

Selling a Home in Toronto can be a difficult and long process if not tackled correctly right from the outset. As a seasoned Realtor, I might have a biased opinion as to how it should be done Selling your home can be a lengthy and emotional process especially when you are buying a new home at the same time, you can easily feel overwhelmed.

When selling, it is vital that you choose the right REALTOR to represent the sale, it is essential that the person you hire is not only competent but has a strategy and marketing plan that is tailor made for your situation and the home’s condition. My advice; interview at least 4-6 Realtors before signing anything. After all we are talking about one of the, if not the biggest investment in your portfolio, you owe it to yourself to make the right decision.

Home Staging

Home staging is an integral part of the modern real estate business. It is a proven fact that a staged house sells faster and for a better price. One of the most important components of a successful home selling is the quality of the furniture and accessories used for staging. Prudent Realtors always suggest to there clients that stagging is essential. Shabby, worn or low quality furniture can greatly diminish the overall look of the property and its value. The combination of expert staging techniques with elegant high quality furniture and exquisite accessories will direct the attention of prospective buyers to the best architectural features of your property and help you de-emphasize the "rough spots". The final result will be a stunning look that potential buyers will find hard to resist. The homes in Toronto for sale that are not stagged usually require more time to sell and sell for less dollars.
